Continued drug use led to Charles leaving his family and coming downtown. He remembers, "I took a bag of clothes and my last paycheck and I came down to stay at the Mission. I was beaten and broken. I started asking God for help and for forgiveness!" Ten months later, Charles graduated from our residential recovery program and made a decision that he belonged in ministry. Today, he's taking part in the Mission's Servant Leadership Training program and wants to give back to those who helped him through service to the Mission. "I was at rock bottom and God has brought me up from that pit and has given me hope and a new life!"
